Noel the Elf has arrived!

It's December the 1st!!!  Christmas season has officially arrived!  Yay!

Today the children and I were playing in the lounge when the doorbell went and who was there?!

Noel the Elf!!!

As a special treat and as he's so happy to read to a crowd DS3 read the story book that Noel bought with him to some of his younger siblings...

And then we celebrated by lighting an Advent Candle...

We've never done a candle or the elf before so this was all new and exciting for the kids...  They can't wait to see what antics he's going to get up to during his stay and I must admit I'm kind of excited too.

Now if only the builders would hurry up and finish our extension so I could put up a Christmas Tree and start decorating...  It's beginning to look very hit and miss as to whether the extension will be ready for Christmas or not...  :(  I'm praying and crossing everything!

Tomorrow I am considering making mince pies for the hubster using my homemade minced meat.

On the downside tomorrow I also have to try and find an emergency hairdresser as my youngest daughter (child #6) cut off her beautiful long blonde hair.  I'm devastated.  We spent four years, tons of time, effort and money getting it into such a beautiful state and length.  People were jealous of her gorgeous hair and everywhere we went they commented on it and now it's horrible.  A total state.  I think it'll take a good two years of hard work and dedication to get it back to where it was. :(  Ho-hum.

Here are some pictures from a year ago, a few weeks ago and the disaster that is her hair now...

Her hair today... :( *sniffle*

So yes, desperate times.  I need a miracle to make her mop look good now!  Hopefully my hair magician, Magic Mike, can fix the damage ASAP.
