Allotment Planning!

I am feeling old at the grand age of 30...  Yesterday we got our first allotment plot.  It's about a mile from our home in a newly made allotment site.  I applied for it some time ago (maybe 6 months or so) and was told there was a waiting list of 25 people ahead of me.  Then yesterday I got an email saying one plot had become available and would we like it!  Erm...  Yes please!!!

We went and took a look the same day and it's not large but it's certainly a good size!  Our next step is to clear and prepare the sight ready for planting, but for today I am enjoying planning what I'm going to grow and when it all needs to be done and how I'm going to lay it all out!

Here's a couple of photo's:

So now the creative juices are flowing!  I'm envisioning pretty little pathways, a nice little shed, a tidy compost heap, a pretty bench, and various beds of fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers.  I can't wait to get started.  I'm planning on going down and getting a start on it next Monday if the weather holds out.
