I have signed up for piano lessons and my wonderful husband has promised to buy me a lovely baby grand piano for my 30th birthday later this year.
I have decided for the moment to focus mostly on my cooking in this blog. Some organisation, some cooking and some daily chit chat and maybe it won't be so boring around here!
One of the new "organisational" things I've implemented this year and that's gone so well for us has been making school lunches the night before, and also laying the table fully ready for breakfast the night before. Honestly, if you'd told me a few months ago that this would make my life seem so much easier I'd have laughed in your face and told you that it wouldn't make a difference to my life - but actually it REALLY does. It's so nice to get up in the morning and not have to worry about school lunches, or even having to get all the equipment and food out to feed the tribe... Even when, as my older children do, they make their own - there's still the hassle that involves, the mad rush to the kitchen to get the best pickings and the following arguments...
As for cooking, I've been doing loads of homemade cooking and baking recently. I'm really loving it too, but to be honest I get bored with the day to day stuff. I want a challenge, I want to cook something different, something amazing! So watch this space and hopefully I'll be able to come up with a few new things to share here!

Oh! Piano lessons! that is awesome! I have a guitar that I am still trying to make time to learn how to play ( via online *sigh* ) keep us posted on how they go! maybe we will get lucky and get a video at some point of you playing :D
ReplyDeleteLOL I'm sure you will Diane, but probably not until I can play something halfway decently! :P I used to play the guitar as well, it was good fun once you got past the "ouch my fingers hurt" stage.
