So busy these days!

I seem to be so busy these days I get very little time to come here.  As my health is returning I am making new routines and new habits are forming.

I now work-out on my gorgeous new cross trainer twice a day.  I'm not quite managing 30 minutes a day but I'm slowly working up to it!  Today I have been working on the next four weeks worth of menu plans starting on Monday and am excited to eat some varied foods again.  This past week or so I've been sorting kids clothes.  We've been literally drowning in clothes recently.  People very kindly donate all their kids clothes our way, which is kind but our kids were never short of clothes in the first place, and rather than sorting through them to see what was worth keeping and what we could donate/pass/recycle on, we just kept them all - piled all over the place.  It has reached the stage where the kids now have so many clothes it's actually difficult to find them something to wear.  I know that sounds crazy right?!  But it's true!  There are so many clothes, piled all over the house that we literally can't piece an outfit together without trawling through so many piles - it just takes forever.  So my recent mission has been to get rid of everything except the bare essentials.  It's taking a long time, but we're getting there!  I recycled several sacks full so far and this weekend I aim to get rid of at least three more sacks!

Then we're moving onto toys.  I'm fed up with broken, old, unused toys with missing pieces that never get played with.  I'm also fed up of constantly picking the damn stuff up now...  So my new motto is that they can't make a mess if they have nothing to make a mess with!  Almost everything will be going except for a few key favourite toys...

Event planning wise everything is going well.  We've got the venue, menu, reverend, ceremony, drinks reception, chair covers, colour theme, photographer, videographer, entertainment, makeup/nails/hair artist etc all sorted.  Guest list is decided and so far 54 people have said they're coming...  Now I just have to sort out the actual invitations and stationery and the hymns/readings for the ceremony...  And decide what to wear! LOL

I've decided not to go with a cake, but to make my own little cakes - one for each guest.  And instead of place cards and favours I'm going to bake and decorate cookies that have the guests names on to act as both favour and place card!!!  Should be interesting!  LOL
