Don't move. Improve!

So, I've been thinking about this a lot the last few days...

Our family is forever growing.  Our oldest son is almost 9, and we'll soon have 7 children living under this roof.

So I'm going to get a conservatory put on the back of our house, that leads into the garage.  So we can convert the garage into work space for my hubby, we have an extra room to act as a dining room, we'll have a large living room as well free from dining and office clutter...  It'll give my hubby the space and quiet he needs to work, plus make things far more comfortable for all of us living here.  OK so we lose some garden space, but honestly, we never use the garden anyway and we don't keep it nice either.  It's a constant embarrassment to us.

And once we've got that done, we can think about knocking through the kitchen wall to make the kitchen a little bit bigger.  It won't make it massive, but even an extra couple of cupboards would be useful!

I've also made up a plan for Christmas.  The next two weeks I'm going to focus on de-cluttering and cleaning the kitchen, living/dining room, hallway, landings and kids bedrooms.  Then the day the kids break up from school we're going to go straight down and buy a Christmas tree, some decorations etc..  Then the kids can help me make home made mince pies whilst Hubby gets the tree ready for decorating.  I might also make some mulled wine, a few Christmas carols and maybe finish the evening with our warm mince pies, hot chocolate and a Christmas movie!  Bliss!
